Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science

Course Introduction

The Department was sanctioned a prestigious DRDO Project (the only centre in North India) by the name “Manpower Development in the area of Computer Science” in the year 1986. Under this project, a Post-graduate course in Computer Science named as M.Sc. Computer Science (Software) was introduced. This project was very closely monitored by DRDO and those who successfully passed out used to get the appointment letter of Sc. “B” along with the M.Sc. Degree. We feel pride in stating that those passed out students today are contributing to the security of the nation. It continued for six batches up to 1992 after which it was taken over as UGC course.
